| Innocent World Winter Lucky Packs |
[Dec. 1st, 2009|05:08 am] |
IW has just put up their winter lucky packs for reserve! There are two options: Type A (presumably) contains more items and costs 31 500 yen, and Type B costs 21 000 yen. Unfortunately, the packs are only available in the M size this time around; maybe they ran out of the S- and L-sized tops?
Are you going to be getting one? And what do you think could be inside this time around? |

| | Skinny Puppy | ] | Hi all! I'm new here so please excuse any mistakes/stupid questions. I'm 22, been a goth forever and always into the kinderwhore/creepy lil' girl thing-but just recently discovered loli in the last couple years and love it, of course! Anyway, I am still trying to figure out shopping myself (lol) but I have recently gotten my best friend into loli fashion, and I'm having a very hard time finding stuff for her. She is plus size (like 2X) and pregnant, plus I live in FL, so it's already hard to find pretty clothes-pkease help! Does anyone know where I can find plus size and even maternity quality loli stuff thats not too expensive? I know it's alot to ask but I need help! Also, if anyone knows any good places in FL to get cheap, quality loli clothes, regular size(I'm a S) , or just an FL loli's want to say hi and maybe meet up, that would be great too-thanks!
P.S.-I'm computer illiterate so please explain everything as though you weretelling an old person, lol |

For the 10th edition the Gatehouse Gazette is still looking for steampunk or dieselpunk photos for it's usual photo competition. The best image will be published in the magazine, which will be released at the end of December/beginning of January (depending on how heavily the holidays take their toll on our poor chief editor).
So go ahead and send in your finest images to Mr Nick Ottens at n dot ottens at gmail dot com and partake in the competition. You might see your image published if you're lucky! :)
The deadline is December 22 so you still have time!
Good luck everyone!
As a sidenote: please only send in a photo you are allowed to send in. So a photo you took, or of which you have permission of the photographer to enter. Entering a photo is on your own reponsability :) |

| Dyeing fabric |
[Nov. 30th, 2009|06:56 pm] |
Hello everyone! I had a question about dyeing fabric. I need the white parts in this fabric to be blue, so I was going to dye it. Will the dye also change the color of the brown, or will it be fairly unscathed?
And also, does anyone know where I could find a similar patterned fabric in blue and brown? Thought I'd throw it out there to see. :)
Thanks!
EDIT: Thanks for the help everyone! |

What are some neat, unique and inexpensive gifts for this season?
Either to hand make, or on Etsy or something?! |

Calling all Utah Lolis! I'm going on an extended vacation (dec 14-jan 6) to SLC and while visiting my family is nice... that's a LONG time to be out there without something else to do... Are there any lolis out in utah who would want to hang out while i'm visiting? I come out at least once a year so it would be nice to know someone with similar interests as myself to just hang out with. |

| Describe lolita fashion in a short paragraph |
[Nov. 30th, 2009|04:11 pm] |
So recently I've been seriously considering making 'lolita style business cards' (info and calling cards) to pass out whenever I get questions about this frilly stuff I'm wearing. They would have a short description of the fashion and I'd deck the hell out of them in cute graphics and other useful info. (Cards randomly passed out to strangers to explain the fashion won't have my info for obvious reasons)
The only problem is, when thinking about what I'd write to descibe lolita, I just get a whole mess of ideas and what it isn't and explaining minor details and certainly nothing I could only keep in a short and sweet 6-8 sentances. On top of that, I wouldn't want to accidently write something the majority of lolitas don't agree represents the fashion well. Maybe you ladies and gents could help me out here? How would you describe our frilly fanciness in just a few sentances? What else do you think I should include, like photos, brand names, etc?
I was also considering selling them if they turn out nice enough for people who don't have the time or energy to make their own. For qualities' sake, I'd get them professionally printed. Would anyone be interested?
On top of that, I really want to make calling cards to pass out to other lolis, (though I...don't think there ARE any other lolis here in Fresno, haha :cc ), if I ever get the chance to go to a meetup. What sort of info do you think I should include? And...since I probably wouldn't be using them a whole lot myself, I was also considering taking commissions where I'd design calling cards for other lolis; everything from border types (really fancy things like lace, flowers, etc) to font type and just about anything you'd want on them. Maybe even little cute chibi drawings of the owner or itty bitty graphics of their hobbies, pets, etc. I'd get them professionally printed and mail them out. Would anyone be interested in those as well? I plan on having examples in a few weeks.
Thank you! |
